where do I Start?

 Hi, I'm Chef Tonya, founder of A Delightful Event Catering.  For more than 15 years, I've had the privilege of serving delicious, homemade meals that bring people together. What began as desire to cook at age 12, grew into a love and into a passion. I began to learn to cook at 12, trying to help mother. She worked long hrs. and still had to come home cook for my siblings and I. Although I was not very good at it starting out, I got better over time. As I got older as an adult the love of cooking just grew. I was the one member of the family that had cook outs and gatherings and wanted to do all the cooking.

in its own way, cooking can be quite therapeutic as well. That love and passion for cooking grew into a full-service catering business. When I saw how people really enjoyed eating my delicious foods and often times would pay me to make the something. I knew that this was God's way of saying pursue this gift. In 2017 I resigned from my 9 to 5 to go all in, full steam ahead with the vision of A Delightful Event Catering. The name came from Psalms 37:4, "Delight yourself in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart." I truly would need God to pull this off. It has been 9 years to the date as a full-time caterer and counting and God has been faithful. My team and I have done hundreds of catering events over the years.
